GATE 2023 Geology and Geophysics

Introduction

Geology and Geophysics is a multidisciplinary field of study that explores the Earth’s composition, structure, processes, and history. It combines principles from geology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics to understand the Earth’s physical properties, geological formations, and natural resources. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
