Introduction to Agricultural Engineering GATE
Agricultural Engineering is a multidisciplinary field that combines principles of engineering, technology, and biology to address the challenges and opportunities in the agriculture sector. It plays a crucial role in enhancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
The GATE examination provides aspiring agricultural engineers with an excellent platform to showcase their technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and understanding of agricultural systems. By qualifying in GATE, candidates can gain admission to postgraduate programs (Masters and Doctoral) in prestigious institutions across India, including IITs, NITs, and other universities offering agricultural engineering courses.
